# Getting started

> From zero to your first handled conversation: connect a channel, set up your inbox and invite your team.

In a few minutes you'll have ApyConnect ready to receive and respond to messages.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your workspace">
    When you sign up you create a **workspace**: the place where your channels, contacts and team live. You can have more than one (for example, one brand per workspace).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect a channel">
    Go to **Channels** and connect the first one: WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, email or a web chat for your site. Follow each channel's connection wizard.

    <Note>Connecting a channel only creates the channel. It doesn't receive messages yet until you assign an inbox to it (next step).</Note>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign an inbox to the channel">
    Each channel delivers its messages into an **inbox**. From **Channels**, use **Assign inbox** to choose an existing one or create a new one. From then on, that channel's messages arrive in that inbox.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Invite your team">
    In **Settings → Members**, invite your teammates by email and assign them a **role** (which defines what they can do). See [Team and roles](/en/analisis/equipo).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go “On Queue” and respond">
    In the top bar, switch your status to **On Queue** to start receiving conversations. When one arrives, you accept it and respond from the [inbox](/en/guias/inbox).
  </Step>
</Steps>
